ARTHEON · Arte y Cultura

Who we are

An art gallery and a cultural production project: we select, promote and sell artworks, and create projects in which art enters into dialogue with literature, history, music, heritage and thought.

What we do

  • Art gallery
  • Cultural production
  • Sculpture and visual arts
  • Catalogues and publications

ARTHEON · Arte y Cultura is an art gallery and a cultural production project devoted to the selection, promotion and sale of artworks, with a particular focus on sculpture and the visual arts.

We work directly with artists, present their work to collectors, private buyers, professionals and institutions, and develop new ways of bringing it into residential, corporate, architectural and interior design settings.

The bond between art and culture is an essential part of our identity. ARTHEON creates and produces exhibitions, lectures and cultural projects in which artworks help to develop and enrich content related to literature, history, music, heritage and thought. Art and knowledge thus become part of a single project, offering the public new ways of approaching culture.

Our activity also includes the creation of catalogues, publications, audiovisual content, artwork photography and communication materials, with special care for the presentation of each artist and their work.

At ARTHEON we believe that promoting art means knowing the work, knowing how to present it and finding the right audience and space for it. That is why we bring together gallery activity, sales and cultural production in a single proposal: bringing works with identity to those who wish to add them to their collection, and creating projects that generate interest, knowledge and culture.

ARTHEON works with respect for authorship, knowledge of the work and care for every process, understanding art as a form of beauty, memory and reflection.

Cultural projects

Culture conceived as a project

ARTHEON develops cultural projects built on research, art, literature and historical memory, turning a subject into an event that reaches the public through different languages and formats.

Every project starts from an idea and preliminary research. From them we build a cultural narrative of its own, which can take the form of lecture series, exhibitions, publications, art editions, graphic interventions in public spaces and other resources designed specifically for each institution, commemoration or cultural programme.

The aim is to create proposals with identity, substance and the capacity to remain in people's memory.

How we work

From the document to the event

Every project is built on prior research and then unfolds in the formats that tell it best.

Research and narrative

One of our lines of work explores the Institución Libre de Enseñanza, the Silver Age and the cultural horizon of the Generation of '27, an exceptional period that brings together education, thought, literature, the visual arts, music and cultural renewal.

Research is the starting point. On that basis we define the overall concept of the project, its narrative, its protagonists and the different ways of presenting it to the public.

The same method applies to writers, artists, cultural movements, anniversaries, local heritage, historical events or figures linked to an institution or a region.

Lecture series and gatherings

ARTHEON designs lecture series and gatherings built around a common theme.

The choice of subjects, the search for specialists, the ordering of content and the relationship between sessions make it possible to build programmes that offer the public a broad view of the subject.

The lecture also becomes the starting point of a wider project, linked to an exhibition, a commemorative edition or a cultural programme running over several days or weeks.

Interventions in public space

Some projects can also extend into streets, avenues and urban spaces.

Banners, large-format posters, exhibition structures and other graphic elements carry figures, images and cultural content into public space, temporarily turning the city into part of the event itself.

ARTHEON plans these resources within a unified visual concept, linking design, communication and cultural content.

Commemorative portfolios and art editions

A cultural project can also leave behind an object that preserves its memory. ARTHEON produces commemorative portfolios and bespoke art editions, directly related to the theme of the event and designed for institutions, foundations, cultural gatherings and official occasions.

They may include portraits or artistic interpretations of notable figures, giclée prints on fine art papers, texts, documentation and editorial elements designed especially for each project.

Because they are made to measure, they become pieces linked exclusively to the event that gave rise to them, and an institutional resource of particular significance for protocol, commemorations, meetings and visits.

A visual journey through the faces and voices of the Generation of '27: contemporary portraits that give light back to those who wrote it. Curated by Artheon Arte Cultura.

Art and culture

A single project

ARTHEON sees artistic activity as part of a wider field. Alongside the selection, representation and sale of artworks, it develops cultural content that connects heritage, artistic creation, thought and society.
