In “Cervantes”, Rafael Heredia Cuevas once again builds a personal tribute to the author of Don Quixote through a profoundly contemporary sculptural language.

The face is structured around a particularly meaningful contrast: one side is reduced to a smooth, almost silent surface, while the other concentrates the features that make the figure recognisable. This duality introduces a suggestive reading between presence and memory, between the man and the universal dimension his work has reached. Heredia thus returns to one of the essential principles of his sculpture: simplifying form until only what can sustain the expression remains. The bronze heightens this approach through reflections and variations of light that change the perception of the volumes depending on the angle from which it is seen.

Adding “Cervantes” to a collection means acquiring a limited series work that combines sculptural value with a clear cultural sensibility. Its dimensions of 30 × 12 cm allow it to be placed in libraries, studies, reading spaces or interiors where art can live naturally alongside literature and thought. The presence of Cervantes also brings an immediate reference to one of the great pillars of our culture, interpreted here through the eyes of Rafael Heredia Cuevas and the search for essential beauty that defines much of his work.
