01The work
In “The Warrior”, Rafael Heredia Cuevas pays tribute to the small business owner who faces each day as a battle: keeping the business going, rising to difficulties and protecting what has been built with effort.
The figure takes on the appearance of a contemporary warrior, resolved through the essential language that characterises the artist. Heredia refines the face, removes the superfluous and concentrates the expression in a few planes and lines of great firmness. The white lacquered stoneware reinforces this formal clarity and lets light define the volumes, giving the piece a sober and emphatic presence.
Acquiring “The Warrior” means adding a unique work with an especially close reading for those who know the value of work, responsibility and perseverance. At 57 cm high it has enough presence to become a centrepiece in a study, a company or a private space. Beyond its aesthetic value, the work represents an attitude to life: carrying on in the face of difficulty and defending, every day, what is worth fighting for.
