01The work
In “The Menina's No”, Rafael Heredia Cuevas starts from a figure deeply linked to the Spanish artistic tradition and transforms it through his own sculptural language.
The work is built through carefully studied lines and refined volumes, in which every curve contributes to the balance of the whole. The tilt of the figure and the reach of the arm introduce a restrained movement that brings elegance and character, while the white patinated stoneware makes it possible to appreciate with particular clarity the architecture of the forms and the work of the modelling.
Acquiring “The Menina's No” means adding a unique work with a highly recognisable presence and a strong plastic personality. At 38 cm high it can easily be placed in private interiors, studies or professional spaces, where it brings distinction and an immediate cultural reference. A sculpture in which Rafael Heredia Cuevas shows his ability to transform a historical motif through the simplicity of line, the balance of volumes and the elegance of a barely suggested movement.
