01The work
In “Bull”, Rafael Heredia Cuevas continues one of the most significant series of his sculptural language, devoted to an animal of deep symbolic and visual presence.
The work is resolved through clean forms, studied lines and a very precise refinement of volume, so that the figure keeps all its strength through simplicity. The tilt of the body, the position of the head and the sweep of the horns introduce a clear sense of movement and restrained tension, without ever breaking the elegance of the whole. The white patinated stoneware accentuates the purity of the forms and lets the modelling be seen clearly, while also bringing a serene and emphatic presence.
Acquiring “Bull” means adding a unique work from an especially recognisable series within Rafael Heredia Cuevas's output. At 24 cm high and 33 cm wide it fits easily into private interiors, studies or professional spaces, where it brings identity, balance and a cultural reference of great strength. A piece in which the artist shows how the study of line and mastery of form can turn the figure of the bull into a sculpture of contemporary language, clean in its construction and alive in its movement.
