01The work
In “On the Book”, Rafael Heredia Cuevas pays tribute to reading as a territory of knowledge, imagination and discovery.
A head of refined forms rests on the book, becoming almost an extension of what it reads. The artist reduces the figure to essential lines and precise volumes, letting formal simplicity concentrate all the strength of the work. The white lacquered stoneware accentuates that purity and lets light travel softly across the surface, reinforcing the sense of silence and concentration.
Acquiring “On the Book” means adding a unique work with a clear cultural and symbolic dimension. At 43 × 28 cm it is especially suited to libraries, studies, reading spaces or interiors where art enters into dialogue with books. A sculpture that recalls the power of reading to open up the world of ideas, nourish the imagination and give shape to dreams.
